Victor Okoh Boniface (born December 23, 2000) is a Nigerian professional footballer who serves as a striker for the Nigeria national team and Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.
Early Life and club career
Boniface is distinguished by his work ethic, dribbling ability, stamina, and pace. Boniface was loaned to Lefke TSK of the KTFF Süper Lig in January 2018. He returned to Real Sapphire in July 2018 after briefly pursuing his career here.
Boniface inked a contract with Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen until 2028 on July 22, 2023, and was given the number 22 shirt. On August 19, he made his Bundesliga debut as a starter in a 3–2 home win over RB Leipzig.

He scored his first Bundesliga goals the following week, on 26 August, by scoring a pair at the Borussia Park in a 3–0 away derby victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Boniface achieved the distinction of being the second-highest African goal scorer in the 2023/2024 Bundesliga season in May 2024.

Boniface made his senior team début for Nigeria on September 10, 2023, replacing Taiwo Awoniyi in the 64th minute.
Samuel Chukwueze received an assist from him during that match. He was included in the Nigerian squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in the Ivory Coast on December 29, 2023.
Nevertheless, Boniface was compelled to withdraw from the African tournament due to a muscle injury he sustained on January 8, 2024, and was succeeded by Terem Moffi.
